Introducing the Olympic Kiln 149 Slider, meticulously designed to streamline your glass manipulation and firing processes. This square clamshell kiln features inside dimensions measuring 14.5″ x 14.5″ wide x 9″ deep, offering ample space for your glasswork. The sliding floor design ensures ease of loading and manipulation, while the kiln is securely bolted to an 8″ heavy angle iron stand for stability. Delivered fully assembled, the kiln features a built-in lid brace arm that locks the firing chamber when opened. A sleek wooden handle ensures comfortable operation as you extend the kiln floor to its full 36″ front-to-back length.

Equipped with an element in the lid for radiant heat and elements in the walls for conductive heat, the 149 Slider ensures even heating of glass pieces. The maximum temperature range of 1700°F protects the optional quartz glass viewing window, with the flexibility to reprogram for higher temperatures as needed.

The 149 Slider comes standard with essential features including a pilot light, an 8” heavy angle iron stand, stainless steel jacket, and the Bartlett 3 Key controller, allowing for intuitive data input via ramp/hold programming. The kiln package includes peephole plugs and instruction manuals, backed by a Two-year Kiln Limited Warranty.

Customization options abound, with upgrades available to the KilnStar digital controller or the GENESIS controller featuring touch screen technology. Additional options include lid lift assist for models 18” wide or smaller, Type S thermocouple, flash arm, quartz glass viewing windows, lid elements in quartz rods, venting, and more, tailored to your specific requirements.

For efficient firing organization, our Furniture Kits for 240-208-volt Glass Fusing kilns provide two layers of shelving for stacking ware, assorted small square posts, 1” x 1”, for models 18” wide or smaller and large square posts, 1 ½” x 1 ½”, for kilns 20” wide or larger, ceramic paper, and a one-pound bag of kiln wash. Choose between our standard furniture kit or customize your own with shelves and posts in the quantities required.
